Coach Crow will always be one of my favorite people from my childhood. She taught me swim lessons and was my JV basketball coach. I have very fond memories of her. Coach Wayne, I am so sorry for your loss, you will be in my prayers.

I will continue to pray for your family in this time of sadness. When I was a little girl at the Rabun County pool she and Coach Wayne taught my brother and me how to swim. Then 30 years later they taught my son how to swim too and he was in the last swim lessons at the Rec pool that they taught. My mother Kathy Blalock was best friends with Gail Coleman and of course, Gail was best friends with Coach Crowe and Coach Wayne. One time we all went to a concert and there were tons of laughs by everyone. A few of us were not used to knowing the Coach's only as a strict educator and coach. But we all got to see her and their friends all enjoy the concert. I remember her coaching the boys' basketball team, and I remember her as the person to go to if you had a sore throat or a sprained ankle. She would place your ankle in a big 5-pound bucket of ice. She was like a doctor back in the 90;s. I also remember how proud she was of her nephews. To all of her close friends and family especially Coach Wayne I am deeply sorry for you losing your best friend.
Love, Amber Blalock Brady

Gail Crowe was a such a wonderful part of Rabun County High School. Her devotion to excellence regarding all Wildcat athletes and fellow coaches was an amazing gift that will never be surpassed. Gail's caring ways as an athletic trainer and her guidance to athletes and other coaches was remarkable. She served above and beyond in the athletic program for many years. She was truly a blessing to me while I was a teacher/coach at RCHS. Condolences to family and friends, and especially to Janice.

I am honored to have known and loved Gail. We met through motorcycles and have many memories of laughter and fun. Many camping trips and she taught me how to play dominos! She taught my granddaughter how to swim. Love and prayers for Janice and family as you get through this difficult time. Know that we are here for you.

On behalf of our family, Debbie and I send our condolences and our thoughts to Janice and all of Gail’s family and friends. We are heartbroken for you all at Gail’s passing, but steadied by our understanding that she suffers no longer and our belief that we will see her again. Our family was fortunate to have had Gail in it as she taught us how to live, be dedicated to what you love and what you do and do it all well. She was fun, smart, always interested in what you were up to and game for something new. She and Janice have been extraordinary examples of dedication and love to so many. We will surely miss Gail!
